From the moment you get to the gate for Hawaiian Airlines, you can already feel the difference from the rest of the airport rustle & bustle. Everyone is smiling (except one poor little baby who was not at all happy), happy, wearing flip flops and carrying beach bags and hats. Just knowing where we are going makes us all relax.
Hawaiian Airlines still provides a complimentary meal for all classes during the 6 hr. flight. They are the only remaining US based airline to do that. Though long, it is a comfortable and uneventful flight.
With the three hour time difference, we arrive about 1:30pm. Immediately we are overly warm in the clothes we wore from Seattle. It is sunny and the sky is blue. Yea!
Our first night we overlap the last group of visitors in the condo: a crazy group of all ladies. Johnnie seems to be handling this with ease, surrounded by beautiful ladies on all sides. Good thing his wife is there taking the photo!

| Maui Sunset |
A ritual for the residents at Kihei is to take the lawn chairs and blankets (and sometimes a bottle of wine) and sit along the shore watching the sun set. At exactly sunset, someone blows the conch.
